EXPLORING NATURE SPIRITS
LAOTA OF THE SUN WILL BE OUR SPECIAL GUEST THIS EVENING!
Nature spirits are understood in many spiritual, mystical and indigenous traditions as subtle intelligences or spiritual presence with the natural world and are sometimes described as caretakers of the energetic patterns of trees, flowers, forests, mountains, rivers, oceans, stones and the elements.
Within these traditions, nature is viewed not simply as a collection of physical objects but as a living, interconnected expression of consciousness. But if we limit ourselves to what we already believe about the world, we’re never going to learn anything new. We know from our own experience that humans are animated and intelligent and capable of connecting to one another, even though science can’t exactly explain how. So instead of assuming that plants don’t have a similar capacity, let’s suspend our disbelief.
What if the natural world is not merely something we live upon, but something we live in relationship with? What might become possible if we approached nature with greater curiosity, respect, and willingness to listen?
Reconsider your relationship with the natural world around you.
